Summer + Ben | Quad Cities Wedding and Family Photographer

Summer and Ben. Two people who are so in love and were so eager to get married and start their lives as mister and missus. Their wedding day couldn't have been more perfect. Their ceremony took place on Ben's family's farm where oh my gosh the view was quintessentially Iowa. Rolling hills filled with sprouting corn, barns, tractors, vintage cars- the whole 9 yards. And when the bride says she wants to take photos with the old family barn, you say heck yeah!

So. Much. Fun. to watch Summer and Ben say their 'I Do's'. Their love is sweet and romantic and will only grow deeper and deeper. Hope you all enjoy a peak at their day- it really was a great way to spend a day!

Katie + Kevin | Quad Cities Wedding and Family Photographer

What. A. Wedding.

No, really. This wedding was amazing. Top to bottom, beginning to end. Everything was Katie and Kevin to a T. Let's start with Katie's dress. It started with her grandmother's wedding dress which she used as a base. On top of the base she layered a stunning floral lace appliqué in mint green. The shoes? Gold sparkly Badgley Mischka's. Her jewelry? A boho bride's dream assortment of the coolest stones and gems. Him? An equally sweet pair of shoes and a suit with the coolest pattern!

The ceremony and reception were both held at the Watchtower Lodge at Blackhawk State Park and again, they transformed the space in a way I've never seen. Hanging planters, fresh florals everywhere, succulents and antique gold candelabras dressed the tables. Do you know the Crepe Guy? Well he started a new catering business and the food display alone was enough to make your mouth water. The appetizer? A spread of meats, cheeses, olives and breads that you wouldn't believe. Dinner? Three different kinds of sliders and salads (pasta, corn and lettuce) and dessert was a mix of pie, cobbler and, of course, Whitey's ice cream. No, really.

The dance party? Elephants, kangaroos and walruses. No, really. When the bride says to you "So...there's a chance someone could show up wearing a kangaroo suit...just so you know..." you know to be prepared for anything. Turns out, Katie crashed her sister's wedding in a giant kangaroo suit and her sister just had to get a little pay back ;)

So, yeah, it was pretty cool looking. But ya know what was even cooler? Katie and Kevin. They are the epitome of a couple that is meant to be together. Nothing but laughs, jokes, giggles and pure joy at the idea of getting married. The whole day was a beautiful way to celebrate these two and I'm so so so glad I got to see it all, up close and personal!

If you're a boho bride with a story to tell, hmu. Let's get you on the books for 2018 <3
